This is the course website for Section 01 of Statistical Machine Learning (STAT 253) taught by Professor Kelsey Grinde at Macalester College in Spring 2026.
Course materials were collaboratively developed by Macalester statistics faculty (especially Kelsey Grinde, Brianna Heggeseth, Alicia Johnson, and Leslie Myint), and draw heavily upon our course textbook, the 2nd edition of An Introduction to Statistical Learning with Applications in R.
